How to milk a cow

For the past three months we have been milking our Jersey cow Noel. It has been a VERY interesting experience to say the least. Below are our top recommendations for beginner milkers out there.

#1 Have the right stanchion setup.

We started off milking Noel in the stall you see below, however, the bar we installed on the bottom did not detach and I couldn't milk her. Easy and Delicious Bierocks

On our homestead, we are always looking for great frozen meal ideas. When you work full-time, run a farm, run an online business and try to keep a social life, you need healthy go-to meals. Our usual is roasted, slow-cooked chicken, chicken and vegetable soup, chili, wild game stews, and steaks with a side salad and homemade sourdough bread.

Thankfully one weekend, Brett's mom (Momma T) asked if we wanted to make some German  Bierocks. She said they were a great frozen meal to pop in the air fryer or oven when you need something quick and delicious. She was right. You will love this simple but delicious meal option if you need something to meal prep and have on hand.
